datcatwhatcameback: fisherpon: fisherpon: It’s relatively common knowledge that AskApplebloom was the first ever drawblog related to MLP:FiM on Tumblr, and that in turn the date of its founding could be regarded as the ‘founding date’ of Tumblrpon as a whole. However, since were so few users around at that time, the exact date was never recorded. The drawblog was still up and running by the time I came around in July 2011, though, so I knew it had to be around there. Asking those who I knew were around then and doing some digging in what was then Ponibooru gave me a month: May 2011. Just recently though, a friend of mine who you may remember as Drawmy O’Sea/Carrot Cake came across an actual trace from that era that gives a proper date: Therefore, I would like to propose that May 25, 2011 be held as the ‘founding date’ of Tumblrpon. I know that we don’t really need something like this, since that would be taking things far too seriously, but my thinking is that if we can use it as an excuse to have an event like the TumblrProm or the Hearths Warming Collab, then why not!? Parties are fun! Birthday parties are even more fun! Let’s all make cupcakes and balloons and rent a clown and buy a bouncy castle and fill the pool with pudding and play rock msuic and hire all the Vinyls and have drawblog crossovers with Pinkies everywhere and muffled rap music playing in the distance and hot-air balloon rides and elephant rides and horse-back riding (wait no that’s weird) and do pranks and play boardgames and videogames and go on adventures and have tea and invade Facebook and mess with reality and reminisce about the past and have cake and have more cake and have even more cake and have a great big extra-super-fantabudalistic PAR-TAY! HAPPY BIRTHDAY in two weeks, TUMBLRPON!  I’m gonna be gone all day, so here’s a reminder of the thing I posted yesterday! I opened Berry Punch roughly two months time afterwards. :)  I am glad to have one of the oldest blogs.  Also Askapplebloom is the REAL queen of tumblrpon.  *burp*
